Mac Cannot Open App Security Preferences

STEP 1: Open System Preferences by clicking on Apple icon on the top left of your Mac screen. STEP 2: Tap on Security & Privacy to open it. STEP 3: Now under Privacy tab, click on Accessibility. Here you need to click the lock icon below to make any changes. To turn the firewall on with only Mac OS X application exclusions, click Block All Incoming Connections — only the sharing services you select on the Sharing pane in System Preferences are allowed through your firewall.) This is a good choice for the most security-conscious MacBook owner, but your firewall will block third-party applications that try to access your network or the Internet. In many cases, updating the affected app cures the problem. Delete the app preference file. Plist files can become corrupt when a Mac shuts down or restarts unexpectedly or when an app freezes or crashes. As a result, the app may not open. When you delete a bad preference file, the Mac creates a new plist file that contains all the app's defaults automatically. Launch System Preferences from the Apple menu. Choose “Security & Privacy” and then click the “General” tab, followed by clicking the lock icon in the corner to unlock the settings. Look for “Allow applications downloaded from:” and choose “Anywhere”. Accept the security warning and allow.

Try booting into the Safe Mode. Shut down the computer and then power it back up. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the shift key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. The boot up is significantly slower than normal. This does some maintenance routines and 3rd party applications don't load. Sometimes 3rd party applications are the problem. If your normal user account works in Safe Mode, it is probably a 3rd part application.
